Hours: Monday-Friday 8 am-4 or 4:30 pm, Saturday 8 am-noon. Some shops
are open in the evenings, but few are open on Sunday.
Tobago Banking Hours: Monday-Thursday 8 or 9 am-2 pm, Friday 8 or 9
am-noon and 3-5 pm
Duty-free shopping in
Tobago in not high up on the priority list. One must think local discoveries.
There is a broad selection of extraordinary handcrafted giftware, calypso
and soca recordings, and local gastronomical finds. Exceptional good buys
unlike any where else.
Many of the handcrafted items reflect
Tobago's island culture. You will find carved bamboo gifts, cooper
giftware, coco pod jewelry, handmade soaps, vibrant colorful clothing,
wood carvings, steel drums, leather giftware, handmade dolls, dazzling
cheerfully glazed pottery, Tobago fine art, natural Sea side jewelry,
straw hats are made right before your eyes. You'll find ceramics, mosaics,

There is an extensive craft market at Store Bay and many excellent craft
stores around every corner. You’ll also find grass hut vendors and
artisans in popular beach areas. Most tourist sites and the larger hotels
have their own gift boutiques. Tobago supports many fine art galleries.
